for they only go so far.
Mind-washing may go an incy bit further;
with Books - even one-track audios;
the visual Arts that speak: Sculpture, Song, Design, Maths, and Science,
pushing it a little bit more.
On to/back to
travelers tales, from cave to castle;
grannies around hearth or bedside.
The chatter in one’s head
then chant, liturgy, ritual prayer,
popular slogans and catchy phrases, tunes
- liable to go viral, endemic …
What else - about?!
Is talking per se just a sound?
a bleeping frequency, an adjective!
A reassuring social message,
mumbo jumbo magic that
makes things happen?
Or merely, to pass the time?
Is it truly communicant - or just a tone, note, meaningless nano-byte,
an auditory, insta-text morse-code
for animate life-forms?
Or, as with the elements,
a disparate but cumulative effect?!
What if one is a nihilist
with no thing worth talking about?
Or a minimalist who loves silence!
A mystic hearing voices from other zones!
Or a Carthusian monk!
