GREEN

Sun-spangled leaves unfurling,
of beech and lime;
tousled, sappy hawthorn
lamb-littered, dewy spring grass;
angel wings thrashing the ethers
in emerald and peacock glory.
It seeps into every pore and cell
with the vibrancies of renewal,
like veins and feely fingers
sieving through hair and flesh,
tidal surges sifting in kelp swayed forests
and dappled light in trees, eyes, minds.

It suffuses every cell, refreshing,
spinning the atoms in perfect elipses
clock-wisely synchronous,
synonymous with the thrust of new life,
with the fevers of birth and resurgence.

I see the darling earth kissed,
breathing in the greenness
 as it dangles in its place
suspended by a juicy lattice
of skyey living fibres
like a willow woven basket,
sapling bridge of plaited Ivy.
Every tiniest seed, scrap of flora
raising its self, tendril roots buzzing
to drink it’s quintessence.
