BALANCE 2

See the arch, arc, curve
as the Hara adjusts and poises
on its fulcrum of perfection;
besides a whorly wormhole,
a spinning hurricane vortex
it leans in, embracing like arms,
like kissing tenderness.

Momentum is its inspiriting lifeforce - propelling its ethereal self
between polarities,
honed and supple, slippery-fluid;
a twirling feather, freely aerial and gravityless.

The querying slant of a profile,
tilt of neck or chin:
a musician’s fingers in thrall,
a horses quivering nostrils,
in the delirium of hot blood running.
.
The slope of a wind-weathered tree;
 zoomed-in, time-lapse focus of waves just breaking,
bodies in frozen motion,
a leaping cat in mid-air
every sinew, muscle, joint flowing -
liquid as it lands,
elementally transfigured.

Pure elegance.
